Web 2.0 refers to the evolution of the internet from a static, read-only platform (the original web or Web 1.0) to a dynamic, interactive space where users can generate and share content easily. Unlike Web 1.0, where websites were primarily informational and controlled by site owners, Web 2.0 introduced features like social media, blogs, and wikis, allowing users to collaborate, contribute, and engage in real-time. This shift emphasized participation, user-generated content, and social networking.
Within this thought process, I created a graphic that will show the evolution of how our web has changed over time. In addition, I analyzed how three different educational platforms are used within Web 2.0, as well as what impacts they have within certain environments and thought processes.

Highlighted in the graphic is Google Docs, Kahoot and Lumio! The categories that each are assessed under include: Instructional Design and Instruction, Learning, and Productivity. Each of these platforms are beneficial for educators to use in their classrooms in order to have effective and efficient experiences for students in all learning environments, while simultaneously using Web 2.0.
